About Medicover and IMD Berlin

IMD Berlin is one of Germany’s leading providers of advanced medical laboratory diagnostics. Beyond traditional laboratory services, IMD offers highly specialized diagnostics in areas including immune deficiency diagnostics, special immunology, autoimmunity, allergy diagnostics, metal toxicology, molecular genetics, and microbiome analytics.

In addition to close collaboration with physicians and patients, international B2B partnerships and group-wide cooperation within Medicover are becoming increasingly important to IMD’s growth strategy.
We are therefore looking for a committed Business Development Manager with a scientific background and strong commercial skills, to actively shape and drive IMD’s international B2B business beyond Germany.

Key Responsibilities

  • Proactively identify, develop, acquire, develop international B2B business opportunities, within and outside Medicover to reach annual sales target
  • Support onboarding of new customers and ensure successful implementation of acquired projects
  • Ensure professional handling of contracts in collaboration with legal and compliance teams
  • Establish and maintain successful, long‑term B2B customer relationships through effective collaborations and marketing and sales support
  • Work closely with the International Business Support Team to ensure that customer requirements for customer service, support and collaboration are met
  • Collaborate closely with laboratory leadership and other internal stakeholders such as scientists, legal, and operations
  • Contribute to the continuous development of IMD’s international business development processes
  • Contribute to management reporting, budget process, and strategic planning

Your Profile

  • University degree in a natural science discipline (e.g. Biology, Biochemistry, Molecular Medicine, Immunology, or related fields)
  • Strong understanding of medical diagnostics and laboratory-based services
  • Proven experience in Business development, B2B sales, Strategic partnerships, Scientific project or product management
  • Experience in international markets and cross-border collaboration is a strong plus
  • Background in diagnostics, healthcare, life sciences, or medtech preferred
  • Strong commercial mindset combined with scientific credibility
  • Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills at international level
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in parallel in a structured, hands-on manner
  • High level of initiative, independence, and ownership
  • Very good written and spoken German and English skills
